The University of Southern Maine's Atrium Art Gallery at the Lewiston-Auburn College, is mounting a show Sept. 8 -Dec. 18 entitled Spineless Wonders: Invertebrates as Inspiration in celebration of the 2009 bicentennial of Charles Darwin's birth.  Multi-dimensional including poetry and audiovisual projects.  If it's not a fish, reptile, amphibian, bird, or mammal - it's an invertebrate.  Call Robyn Holman, 753-6554.

SNAG has initiated a project to create a comprehensive listing of artists who give workshops in the jewelry and/or metals fields.  The project outcome will result in a publicly available resource, residing on SNAG's website; providing a central list to assist those interested in finding artists to teach workshops.  If you are interested in having your information listed, please contact SNAG volunteer Lauren Murray at laurenmmurray@gmail.com with the following items:

Heartwood College of Art Workshop Registration Deadline

Heartwood College of Art in Kennebunk offers a variety of summer courses for adults, teens and children, from Painting and Drawing to Jewelry and Ceramics (and everything in between!).   Advance registration is required for all classes, and enrollment is limited.
